New polling released by the Pew Research Center has revealed that the Democratic Party is hemorrhaging support, especially among the youngest American adults.
The 2025 National Public Opinion Reference Survey has found that of those US adults between the ages of 18 and 29, 34 percent of men are Democrats or lean Democratic, while 58 percent of women said the same. In contrast, 52 percent of men said they were Republicans or leaned Republican, while 37 percent of women said the same. Additionally, 13 percent of men said they had no political leanings or had no response.
Just two years ago, the 2023 American Trends Panel annual profile survey found that 62 percent of men between the ages of 18 and 29 identified as Democrats or leaned Democratic, while 36 percent said they were Republicans or leaned GOP.
