The White House is planning on launching a website dubbed "TrumpRx" designed to lower drug costs in a deal with Pfizer, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. The effort comes as the Trump administration has repeatedly talked about lowering drug costs for Americans.
The website will be designed to allow people to pay cash for certain prescriptions directly from the government website instead of from private companies, at a discounted price negotiated by the government.
Trump, as well as the CEO of Pfizer, Albert Bourla, are set to announce the details later on Tuesday, the outlet reported. Pfizer is also set to invest $70 billion into manufacturing in the United States.
