Trump signs historic Middle East peace deal

President Donald Trump on Monday signed a large peace deal to solidify peace in Gaza after Hamas released the remaining living hostages to Israel earlier on Monday.

"This took 3,000 years to get to this point; can you believe it? It's gonna hold up, too," Trump said, as he and other leaders in the Middle East signed the peace plan. Leaders of Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, and other Middle East leaders signed the document.

A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas went into effect on Friday as part of the first steps of the agreement and Israel pulled back troops to a predetermined line over the weekend. On Monday morning, 20 living Israeli hostages were released by Hamas to Israel, and Trump gave a speech at the Knesset flanked by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders.
