Socialist Somali Minneapolis mayoral candidate says ‘undocumented residents’ and ‘hostile Trump government’ are ‘top priority’

Socialist candidate for Minneapolis mayor Omar Fateh has said that his top priority would be to defend "undocumented residents" from the "hostile federal government" under President Donald Trump. 

Fateh was speaking to reporters when he made the comment, after being asked what his top priorities in office would be. "Day one, if you were elected, what would be some of your top two or three priorities for the city?" the reporter asked in the interview that aired on Friday.
