U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has made 1,200 arrests since the federal takeover in Washington, D.C., began in August, according to a report.
From the start of President Trump's term this year through July, ICE had only made 85 arrests in the nation's capital, per data obtained by the Deportation Data Project, The New York Times reported. However, from early August until mid-September, ICE made around 1,200 arrests, according to unnamed officials, per the newspaper.
