The US Army has reached its active-duty recruiting goal for fiscal year 2025 four months ahead of schedule, signing contracts with 61,000 new soldiers.
“This achievement represents a significant turning point for the Army and indicates a renewed sense of patriotism and purpose among America’s youth,” the Army said in its statement on Tuesday.
The 2025 goal marked a 10 percent increase from the previous year’s target of 55,000. According to the Army, average daily contract signings were 56 percent higher than during the same period last year.
“I’m incredibly proud of our US Army recruiters and drill sergeants,” said Army Secretary Dan Driscoll. “Their colossal efforts and dedication to duty helped the U.S. Army accomplish our FY25 annual recruiting goal a full four months ahead of schedule.”
