Trump files motion for mistrial in New York civil fraud case

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday filed for a mistrial in New York Attorney General Letitia James' civil fraud lawsuit against him, his two sons and his company.

Trump noted in his filing that the court and the prosecutor's office are permeated with bias against him.

"This appearance of bias threatens both Defendants' rights and the integrity of the judiciary as an institution. As developed herein, in this case the evidence of apparent and actual bias is tangible and overwhelming," Trump's attorneys wrote in the mistrial motion.

Trump attorney Alina Habba said earlier this week that the legal team would file for a mistrial soon.
