Tim Scott at the 2024 Republican National Convention

Dear Constitutional Rights PAC Patriot,

All right, I’ll admit it:

I love fire-and-brimstone, shout-it-from-the- rooftops, down-home preaching.

I miss old-fashioned camp meetings, the sawdust trail, and the rolling in the aisles of my childhood.

And I guess that’s why I treasured Tim Scott’s revive-us-again, hallelujah-Thine-the-glory speech last night at the Republican National Convention!

Now, just FYI, I never saw my Methodist minister dad shout out his sermons, wave his fist in the air, or drag out an altar call.

Not his style – though his style did help save souls.

But Tim Scott’s riveting, and yes “rabble-rousing,” speech did all of the above –

Just like the many black ministers my dad often had fill his pulpit in the days of my youth.

And that’s why we, as Constitutional Rights PAC Patriot leaders, need to take special notice of it.

Not just of the content…

But of the style as well.

Because that very speech – its cadence and conveyance -- signaled a sea change in the black vote in the upcoming election.

Tim Scott was preaching a message he heard from the time he was a poor struggling child sitting on a hard wood pew in a backwoods country church…

And tens of millions of blacks hear from the pulpits of their Pentecostal churches every single Sunday and at Wednesday night prayer meeting as well:

I love to tell the story

For those who know it best

Seem hungering and thirsting

To hear it like the rest

In short, Tim Scott sent a clearcut, resounding message blacks can grasp in the very depths of their being not only of the redemption of the soul…

But the salvation of a nation as well.

And they are going to go to the polls and vote their hearts for the man Tim Scott endorsed!
