Congressman Brian Babin, R-Texas, praised Congress Thursday for putting forward legislation that would ensure only U.S. citizens could vote in elections.
"Thank goodness for Chip Roy and some good folks over in the Senate [like] Mike Lee," Babin said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "I'm 100% behind this bill. We have got to save America."
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, held a Wednesday press conference where they discussed the "Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act" which would require proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in federal elections.
