Reclaiming American Freedom Files IRS Complaint Against the Private Equity Stakeholder Project, Citing Alleged Violations of Federal Tax Code

Reclaiming Americans Freedom (RAF), a non-profit organization dedicated to upholding civil rights, has recently filed a complaint with the IRS against the Private Equity Stakeholder Project (PESP), alleging serious and conscious breaches of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. The complaint was first reported by the Daily Caller and centers on accusations that PESP misused their tax-exempt status for political gain.

PESP, identifying as a 'nonprofit watchdog organization', is reported to be a creation of politically active labor union organizers, promoting controversial views, including anti-Israel sentiments in the backdrop of the Hamas terror attacks on October 7, 2023. Capitalizing on funding from left-leaning donor networks such as the George Soros’ Foundation to Promote an Open Society, the Ford Foundation, and the Surdna Foundation, PESP is under scrutiny for allegedly violating its mission of operating for educational purposes.

The complaint elaborated by RAF asserts PESP's excessive engagement in political activities, primarily through its controlled affiliate, Private Equity Stakeholder Action c4. It also accuses PESP of providing undue private benefits to Democratic candidates and the Democratic Party. Moreover, the IRS complaint alleges PESP's involvement in unrelated trade or business activities without paying necessary taxes and of violating reporting requirements by concealing their expenditures.

RAF, in the light of the said violations, is calling for the IRS to conduct a thorough investigation of PESP's activities, possibly leading to a revocation of their tax-exempt status. These violations might potentially be referred to the Department of Justice if the IRS deems them valid - as per RAF's conclusions.For over a decade, RAF has been persistently working on initiatives to restore, protect, and expand the constitutional rights and civil liberties of American citizens. The organization holds those responsible who violate public conduct, endangering American democratic values.
