Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) slammed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for signing a heartbeat bill into law that protects the lives of unborn babies the moment a heartbeat in detected.
“We are proud to support life and family in the state of Florida,” DeSantis said in signing the bill into law earlier this month. “I applaud the Legislature for passing the Heartbeat Protection Act that expands pro-life protections and provides additional resources for young mothers and families.”
Mace took issue with the signing, which she decried happened “in dead of night,” even though it was widely publicized by the governor’s office.
