House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is vying to hold a vote on Wednesday for theSafeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act paired with a stopgap spending package. This comes after there was opposition from some GOP lawmakers last week that led to a delay in the vote.
