Dear Constitutional Rights PAC Patriot,
Very short and to the point today.
All in response to a plethora of emails and text message queries I have received at Constitutional Rights PAC Headquarters over the past few hours.
The questions can pretty much all be encapsulated in a single text from longtime Constitutional Rights PAC Patriot grassroots leader Emily W of Tennessee:
“Based upon your many years of working with top politicians, what do you make of the comments Mr. Putin just made about his interview with Mr. Carlson?”
Good question – similar to scores of inquiries I have received since Mr. Putin’s interview with Russian TV journalist Pavel Zarubin concerning the Carlson confab.
The essence of Mr. Putin’s comments can be summed up in his opening salvo with Mr. Zarubin:
“To be honest, I thought he would be more aggressive and ask tough questions… I wanted it, because it would have given me the opportunity to respond sharply in kind, which, in my opinion, would have added certain specificity to our conversation. But he chose a different tactic.”
My take – based upon nearly 50 years working with presidents, members of Congress, and state governors nationwide?
The entire Putin-Zarubin interview was simply a case of the dervish Russian president trolling America’s arrogant, out-of-touch, self-absorbed mainstream media.
I think Mr. Putin was more than happy with Tucker Carlson and with the interview.
Putin wanted to showcase himself to the American people – to prove conclusively that the mainstream media has long been lying about him being sick, dying, and hopelessly senile (kind of like Toxic Joe Biden).
Tucker for his part, while respectfully asking the questions that were on everyone’s minds, provided Putin a forum to prove beyond doubt that he may, indeed, be the only cognizant and cogent leader on the world scene today.
And Vladamir Putin knocked the ball out of the park.
The mainstream media, stung and stunned, knew that their endless lies about Putin had been exposed for all the world to see –
So, they simply refused to cover the historic interview.
Simply blacked it out as if it had never happened.
Putin – a consummate politician who is far more clever than the mainstream media talking airheads – cleverly realized that the best way to trick his antagonists into providing coverage was to make believe he was unhappy with Tucker and disappointed in the interview.
So, he staged the Zarubin interview –
And America’s mainstream media – as usual, too clever by half – are lapping it up and providing Vlad the very forum he wanted all along!
Watching it all predictably unfold, I am reminded of an Edwin Markham poem my Methodist minister father used to quote to his congregations when I was a kid, as an example of how to outsmart one’s adversaries:
“He drew a circle that shut me out-
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But love and I had the wit to win:
We drew a circle and took him in!”
In Mr. Putin’s case, of course, it wasn’t love that took in his antagonists, but sheer cunning and conniving –
And, of course, the arrogant, out-of-touch, and self-absorbed mainstream media fell for it all – lock, stock, and bottom of the barrel!
