Believe it or not, I actually predicted this…
A full 24 years ago –
Directly to the leaders of Hamas – in Gaza City!
I had gone there on what was, clearly, a forlorn peace-keeping mission…
And, frankly, I was stunned by the beautiful palm-lined streets and the beautiful white-sand beaches.
I was so impressed that foolishly, it turns out, I suggested to the dour Hamas leaders that one day Gaza could be a world-class tourist resort – bringing wealth and peace to the entire region.
They, in turn, were so impressed that they showed me the door in about ten seconds.
And now, lo and behold, welcome to Gaza-Lago!
Okay, enough of the light touch…

Steve says out loud what most people are afraid even to whisper in private.
