Stop the FCC Takeover of the Internet
The FCC decided they will pursue regulating the Internet like a public utility at its Open Commission Meeting on February 25, 2015.
BLAST FAXES TO CONGRESS NOW!
Honorable [Senator, Representative] of the United States,
I am outraged by Federal Communications Commission’s February 26, 2015 decision to begin regulating the Internet like a public utility — a plan that came straight from Barack Obama’s desk.
I write, personally urging you and your colleagues to oppose it.
The federal government simply has no constitutional authority to regulate the Internet – in fact, the federal government is prohibited from such interventions by the First Amendment. If Congress “shall make no law” abridging the freedom of speech, with what power can the FCC do the same?
The United States Senate and House of Representatives must defend the free and open Internet always.
Thank you for taking action on my behalf and against the FCC’s Internet takeover.
Defend the Constitution always,
