Carson prescribes Constitution for 'sick' US
Dr. Ben Carson, a possible 2016 GOP presidential candidate, diagnosed America as ailing on Sunday and prescribed a greater emphasis on the Constitution.

“Our nation is like a sick patient,” he said on New York’s AM 970 The Answer. “To get our nation well again, we have to put the Constitution back on the top shelf and stop picking and choosing what laws we want to enforce.”

Carson criticized the Obama administration’s tendency toward big government in an interview with Dr. David Samadi.

He urged Americans to return to the principles of personal liberty and self-government practiced by the Founding Fathers.

“Government is a good thing when it’s done in the proper way, but it’s not there to rule us,” he said.
